Consultation has concluded

Consultation for this stage of the project has now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated. Council staff will now compile the results and present to Council.

Council has developed a (draft) Streetscape Improvement Plan which aims to improve walking, cycling, safety and business along Paisley St between Albert and Leeds Street, Footscray.

The Improvement Plan includes

• new and improved pedestrian crossings
• protected cycling paths
• enhanced street trading space and
• increased landscaping.

A key component of the design is to enhance the Irving Street transport interchange. This will to allow for the proposed Paisley Street improvements to begin in 2021.

The Plan aligns with the vision of the Footscray Structure Plan 2014.

We are now seeking feedback on the draft Plan to assist in improving the design. Please read the attached documents and let us know what you think.
