2025 Annual Community Satisfaction Results are in!

Council endorsed the 2025 Annual Community Satisfaction Survey results at Tuesday night’s meeting.

In September 2025, 800 community members were randomly selected to participate in the survey.

Satisfaction with Council's overall performance is now 7.1 out of 10 (up from 7.0 out of 10 in 2024). This is the highest level of satisfaction ever recorded for Maribyrnong!

The average satisfaction score with 40 Council provided services and facilities increased to 7.7 out of 10 (up from 7.6 out of 10 in 2024).

The top five services with the highest levels of satisfaction included:

  • fortnightly green waste collection
  • weekly garbage collection
  • fortnightly recycling
  • library services
  • additional paid rubbish collection.

Key issues identified by survey respondents included:

  • safety, policing and crime
  • road maintenance and repairs
  • traffic management.
