Consultation has concluded
On 13 September 2016 Council approved the final concept plan for a new playground at Skinner Reserve in Braybrook. The design retains the aeroplane and travel theme that was so popular from the old playground with a whole lot of exciting new elements.
Throughout the consultation period over 400 kids and adults submitted survey responses, design drawings and took part in discussions all of which have informed the final design.
Based on what you told us we have now included:
• exercise equipment that will cater for adults and teenagers
• acknowledgement/plaques of previous contributors to the old playground (to be determined in consultation with key community stakeholders)
• the location of drinking fountains and bike racks
• changes to the ‘turbine’ play element making it more open and transparent
The consultation also highlighted the need for a public toilet at the park which will be provided for in the 2017/18 budget.
