Consultation has concluded
Council has developed a plan to guide future provision, design and management of open space in the city. The plan, called the Open Space Strategy, is supported by changes to the planning scheme called Amendment C137.
Under the plan, development will contribute new open space or support improvements to existing parks. The plan will ensure everyone in Maribyrnong has access to high-quality open space and developers provide their fair share.
About the amendment
Planning Scheme Amendment C137 is part of the implementation of the Open Space Strategy.
The Open Space Strategy is Council's plan to provide more open space for our growing community. Improvements to the quality, number and accessibility of our open spaces will enhance our city's liveability.
