Help us shape our next Annual Budget

Every year, Council prepares a Budget. The Budget is like a plan for how we allocate money on services and facilities for our community.

It’s important we know which services matter most to you.

Tell us what matters to you by midnight Sunday 14 December 2025. It doesn’t need to be complicated – even sharing one or two priorities, or budget ideas, makes a big difference for our next budget.

What we fund

We deliver over 58 services that help shape everyday life in our City – from waste collection, to road safety, to libraries, kindergartens, maternal and child health, and much more.

If you use one of these services daily, chances are it’s funded by Council.

In 2024/25 our budget funded:

A winding river flows through scenes of people reading, a market, a park bench, a swimming facility, and a recycling truck on the road.

How to have your say

Use the Fund It tool

Submit a budget idea

Have a great idea for a project?

Budget proposals are designed for the community to suggest a project or idea for Council to deliver.

If you are seeking funding for a community-led project or initiative, consider applying to the Community Grants Program.

For your budget proposal or idea, you might like to think about:

  • how your idea could help address Council’s challenges (for example, managing costs or supporting parts of our community)
  • whether it’s sustainable long-term
  • how it could help Council deliver services more effectively for the community.

You can also download the form and send it back by Sunday 14 December 2025:
