Maribyrnong Draft Children, Young People, and Their Families Strategy 2030
Council invites you to have your say on the draft: Children, Young People and Their Families Strategy 2030.
The strategy has been developed based on the needs of children, young people, and families who live, study, work and use services in Maribyrnong City. This will provide Council with strategic direction for future services, support, and priorities.
In striving to meet the specific needs of children, young people and their families Council has replaced three previous strategies; Youth, Early Years, and Family Strengthening Strategies with a single 10-year strategy. This single document will provide guidance to support decision-making around program development and delivery, planning, partnerships, and advocacy. This strategy will be underpinned by action plans that will be updated and reported on annually.
The draft strategy has been developed, with a wide range of community members, with community engagement activities to hear directly from children in the early years, the middle years, young people, and parents.
Before we move to a final version of the strategy, we would love to hear your final feedback and in particular the objectives under the following subjects:
- Loved and safe
- Having material basics
- Being healthy
- Learning
- Participating
- Positive sense of culture and identity
