Consultation has concluded
In October, Council announced it was upgrading Rogers Reserve in Maidstone and sought feedback from the community regarding our proposed plans.
Based on your feedback, we have incorporated the following features into the upgrade:
a new nature play area which will include more challenging play equipment;
a new shelter with barbecue facilities and picnic settings; and
a new informal scooter/bike circuit with ‘roundabout’ and ‘rumble strips’; and
improvements to existing garden beds as well as new tree and garden bed planting.
In recognition of community requests for a more formal 'road safety track' for bikes and scooters, Council is pleased to be a project partner in Bike Track for Kids - $200,000 'learn to ride' facility at Hansen Reserve in West Footscray.
A landscape plan of the Reserve outlining these new features is provided in the Document Library on the right hand side of this screen. Works are scheduled to begin in Autumn 2019.
