Help create an accessible, fair, and welcoming City

We are developing an Inclusive Maribyrnong Strategy.

Why? We have several strategies due for review, and also need new plans to respond to emerging community needs.

The goals across the strategies are similar – they all aim to reduce barriers and help people take part in community life.

Developing a single strategy will help:

  • address shared barriers across communities
  • make inclusion a responsibility across Council
  • clarify priorities and accountability
  • better measure progress and impact.

Get involved

We want to know what your vision is for an inclusive City, and how we can get there.
Your feedback will help us shape the draft Inclusive Maribyrnong Framework, which we’ll share with you later in the year.

Feedback closes midnight Sunday 12 July.

What you can influence

  • What you can help shape

    You can help shape:

    • our vision for an inclusive City
    • priorities for individual action plans
    • strategies for Council to support access and participation approaches across our services.
  • What's out of scope

    You can’t influence things like:

    • things that are determined by legislation
    • the kinds of services we are providing
    • Council's commitment to safety, equity, and inclusion.

Why one strategy?

Other benefits of a single strategy include:
