Maribyrnong’s outdoor dining campaign is set to continue until 30 November 2022.

Having already seen an extended timeline due to overwhelming community support for the initiative, the trial will continue while engagement takes place on the Outdoor Dining Policy.

The Outdoor Dining Policy contains information on the permit & fee structures for outdoor dining moving forward - including parklets and footpath trading. It also advises that all these fees associated with outdoor dining will be waived until 1 July 2023 to continue support of local traders and the community.

The outdoor dining project was delivered with an initial State Government grant of $500,000 in 2020 with a second grant of $250,000 in 2021 supporting the extension and expansion.
